Suboccipital Release

The transition from the base of the skull & top of the neck is an area that can develop chronic tension & is prone to being a trigger for headaches. (Think Whiplash ) This is an effective release if you TAKE YOUR TIME with it and BREATHE. .

And, please modify if necessary: if you are uncomfortable, then you don’t breathe deeply, and you guard and tighten up - making it impossible to achieve a proper release. .
——-
Remember: #myofascial releases (like stretching) present you with relief and POTENTIAL to start moving with greater range and comfort... so get those muscles MOVING the way they are supposed to after you do your releases and stretches need advice on how YOU should do that? An assessment by a qualified movement professional is the best place to start!
