Collin LaPorte
General Manager
Growing up, I was always involved in 3-4 sports every year, but soccer eventually became my main focus. I've traveled extensively throughout the country to play at the highest levels. Personally, I believe that fitness and personal competition are some of the best ways to discover who we truly are. With the right attitude, coaching, and tools, we can exceed our own expectations with each effort we put forth.
I fell in love with fitness and movement while studying Kinesiology at a junior college in California. After obtaining my AA degree, I moved to Reno to complete my Bachelor's in Kinesiology at the University of Nevada. Over the past 5-6 years, I've gained significant knowledge and experience in my fitness journey and have even shared my workout programs with specialized training for individuals.
During my free time, I enjoy anything that involves physical activity. Skiing is one of my favorite winter pastimes, and I love the thrill of racing down the mountain, hitting jumps, and performing tricks like 360s or grinding on rails and boxes in the park. I also enjoy competing in Spartan races, running events, and other competitive activities.

Livi Stauffer
I grew up playing soccer from kindergarten, with my dad as my coach for most of my life. Watching his dedication and passion for coaching, I learned the importance of heart and commitment in training. I switched to running cross country and track the last two years of high school. The mental discipline that running offers have been invaluable to me, teaching me how to push my limits and grow stronger both physically and mentally.
In the summer, you can find me paddleboarding on Lake Tahoe, and in the winter, skiing at Mt Rose. I love trying new workout classes if I can! These activities not only keep me active but also fuel my passion. I have always loved the community that sports and working out provide. From the camaraderie of a team to the energy of group workout classes, I see the importance of having a supportive community to push and grow you.
With a deep-rooted love for working out and movement, I pursued and obtained my NASM CPT certification. My goal as a personal trainer is to inspire and motivate others to incorporate movement into their daily lives. I believe that fitness can be a fun and integral part of life, and I'm committed to helping my clients discover the ease and joy of staying active.

Scott Underwood
Performance Coach
I grew up playing various sports, including hockey, baseball, soccer, football, basketball, and golf. Baseball was the sport that stuck with me and I was fortunate enough to play it throughout high school. I even received a Division 1 scholarship to attend Jacksonville State University in Alabama. After completing my studies there, I played in the minor leagues across the United States for three years.
During my time in college and professional baseball, I observed that athleticism was the most crucial factor in determining success, despite a player's skill level. As someone who was considered an average athlete, I wondered if the notion that "you can't teach speed" was entirely accurate or if it was possible to surpass one's natural athletic abilities.
This realization that everyone is capable of achieving more than they believe is a significant motivator for me to work with various clients. It is also a significant reason why I chose to work at Performance EDU. Our culture is unparalleled in the region, thanks to our vast knowledge of the body, continued education, an exceptional staff, and a drive to push the limits of what we know about fitness.

Rachel Koester
Performance Coach
Rachel grew up in Las Vegas playing competitive club and varsity soccer. She received a full-ride scholarship to play at Treasure Valley Jr. College in Ontario, Oregon. After completing her AA degree, Rachel moved to Reno continuing her soccer career at UNR, but ended up playing for the UNR Women’s Rugby Club for 2 years.
It was during the rugby off-season where she learned to train and create strength & conditioning programs for herself and her teammates. This lead to her passion for the gym, health, and fitness. After completing a B.A. in Secondary Education & History, Rachel became a certified personal trainer through NASM. Rachel has been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2010.
After sustaining multiple injuries from soccer and rugby, Rachel discovered a new passion for mountain biking. She’s been hitting the trails since 2013 and has completed a 24 mile, 35 mile, and 4 hour race. She is currently registered for her first MTB Enduro race at Northstar this summer (2019). With her “new” fire and passion for mountain biking, she has been able to attain cycling/mountain bike clients that want to gain strength during whether they are in-season or off-season.
